Education requires compassionate adults to meet the needs of children. The "Heart At Work" award in HPISD, made possible by the HP Education Foundation and its William P. Clements Endowment Fund, provides our community the chance to recognize and celebrate staff members who make the well-being of students a priority.
"Heart At Work" nominations can be submitted by teachers, administrators, staff, students, parents, families and anyone interested in the well-being of our HPISD community. Candidates cannot be nominated by relatives.
All HPISD employees are eligible to be recognized for being "Heart At Work." Staff members recognized will receive a certificate and "Heart" pin to honor their service to others. Each campus (including administration) will celebrate "Heart At Work" recipients monthly.
Employees recognized throughout the year are eligible for the annual "Heart At Work" award from their campus for 2020-21. At the end of the year, one certified and one non-exempt employee from each campus and one from the administration office will be selected to be honored at the annual district awards banquet typically held in April. Each of these staff members will receive a $500 cash award.
"Heart At Work" Award Nomination Information:
We are now accepting nominations for the current school year, and appreciate your participation. We are looking for the "unsung heroes" who are going the "extra mile" in serving our students, staff, families and community. These staff members display the qualities of having a servant's heart, make a difference in the lives of others, and inspire other HPISD employees through their actions. Each person nominated will be presented with a certificate and recognized in the district E-News. In the spring, the district "Heart At Work" award committee will review all those recognized on each campus and choose one certified, and one non-exempt staff member from each campus and the administration office to be honored and awarded $500 at the annual staff recognition banquet.
All 2020-21 nominations must be submitted on the "Heart At Work" award nomination form and sent electronically by the last day of each month from now through Spring Break. Nominees submitted after Spring Break will be considered in the 2021-22 award cycle of winners.
