The significant level of volunteer engagement and support in HPISD dates back to our earliest days and the traditions that began in 1914 continue today. That spirit of support and community is woven into the fabric of who we are as a school district. Even through the unforeseen and unique challenges of this past year, HPISD volunteers found various ways to rise above adversity. They re-invented fundraising events, found ways to engage with our schools virtually and showered our teachers and staff with encouragement and thanks.
HPISD volunteers also share their talents and skills by serving on formal decision-making committees, overseeing campus activities, conducting fundraising events, assisting classroom teachers, overseeing cafeteria food service and school supply rooms, coordinating special projects and supporting student activities. They work tirelessly to ensure educational support is offered to every student across the district in a variety of activities that inspire learning and participation.
The HPISD Board of Trustees, administration, campus leadership, teachers and staff would like to thank every volunteer for providing resources to enhance and complement HPISD school programs. Their efforts benefit every student every day.

One of the important ways HPISD volunteers give of their talents, skills, time and resources is by overseeing cafeteria food service at each of our eight HPISD schools. Watch the recently produced Raider Cafe video spotlighting the ways parents help in the cafeteria at MIS and HPMS.
