The Highland Park Independent School District "Heart at Work" award provides the HP community the chance to recognize and celebrate HPISD staff members who make the well-being of students a priority. Each month nominations by teachers, administrators, staff, students, parents, families and any community member are submitted to the district and recipients are recognized through March.
In the spring, one certified and one non-exempt staff member from each campus and the central office are chosen from the pool of monthly recipients to be honored at the spring Staff Service Recognition celebration as the annual award winners. These individuals receive a $500 stipend generously provided by the Highland Park Education Foundation and its William P. Clements Endowed Fund.
These staff members are the unsung heroes who are going the extra mile to serve our students, staff, families and community. They display the qualities of having a servant’s heart, make a difference in the lives of others, and inspire other HPISD employees through their actions.
