Highland Park ISD STEAM Coaches Ashley Jones and Jean Streepey conducted a district-wide informational meeting Oct. 26 about Destination Imagination. The program is a creative, problem-solving competition available to students across the district. Students form small groups, coached by parents, to solve challenges in preparation for a Regional Competition in February with groups from other schools. Parents
Destination Imagination is an opportunity for children in grades K-12 to work in a creative extra-curricular problem-solving group setting.
- Students are grouped according to grade and school (when possible)
- Students are led by a parent team manager
- Students have the opportunity to compete in a tournament setting to demonstrate solutions to creative challenges
