Three HPHS choir students were selected to perform at the Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) Clinic/Convention in February as members of the Texas All-State Choir. The singers were selected from the more than 70,000 Texas high school students who entered the All-State audition process in the fall.
All-State Choir students are:
- Callie Seabolt, 7th Chair, Alto 2
- Juliet Allan, 1st Chair, Alto 1
- Dylan Woodward, 3rd Chair, Tenor 2
This is senior Juliet Allan’s second time to be named to the All-State Choir. These highest-ranking choral musicians were selected from a panel of judges who rank each voice part.
“Congratulations to three fabulous HPHS Singing Scots,” said Choral Director Natalie Walker. “They spent countless hours rehearsing and preparing to compete against the best vocalist from across Texas and that dedication led them to become state champions. We are so proud of their accomplishment and look forward to their performance at next month’s TMEA Clinic and Convention ”
The HPHS Choral Department is led by Director Natalie Walker and Neal Patel.
