The HPISD community filled the Highlander Stadium home-side stands as loyal Scot fans came together May 21 to celebrate the 6th annual HP Buddy Bowl. The impactful event was started by HP students Brayden (Class of ’21) and Brielle (Class of ’23) Schager along with a few classmates in 2017. They organized Buddy Bowl to give student-athletes of different abilities a venue to play a game of football alongside their peers to the sounds of cheering fans.
Thanks to founding organizers and current Highland Park High School students, the Buddy Bowl Scots Gold and Scots Blue teams played a fun-filled game that energized the community. It was an absolute game-changer of a day that brought students of different abilities together. Special thanks also to the Highland Belles, cheer squads, parents and sponsors for an absolutely fantastic event.
