Tatiana Zvolanek’s instruction is shaped by her experiences as a child. She moved to the United States at a young age and learned English as her second language. Today, her classroom lessons involve hands-on activities that help students make real-world connections.
When asking Armstrong Principal Betsy Cummins what makes Zvolanek an outstanding educator, Cummins said “She is a great leader and listener who loves feedback. She wants everyone around her to continue to grow so that we are all better for our students.”
Zvolanek’s ability to go above and beyond to ensure all of her students are reaching their full potential has proven to be key to her success as an educator. Her strategy is a holistic approach that includes the cooperation of teachers, students and fellow staff members.
“With these efforts, students are prepared to focus on self-care, personal and academic growth, and an overall love for learning,” Zvolanek said.
Congratulations to Tatiana Zvolanek for being named the 2022-23 Armstrong Teacher of the Year.
