Meet MIS Teacher of the Year, Caroline Wooley

Caroline Wooley stands out as Teacher of the Year. Her unique teaching style is centered on maintaining a consistent classroom environment. Wooley's students know what to expect when they walk into the classroom and her Raiders can count on a routine.

When MIS Principal Dr. Skip Moran was asked what makes Wooley an excellent teacher, he said, “Ms. Wooley’s work ethic and passion for teaching help set the standard of excellence that we have come to expect at MIS. Students love her, and colleagues and parents respect her. Ms. Wooley represents the best of teaching and learning.”

Wooley’s approach is also centered on fostering relationships with students built on mutual respect. She is influenced by her personal experience as a student and the impact her former teachers made throughout her K-12 education.

When asked how educators in her life shaped her teaching, Wooley said, “Growing up, I was fortunate to have amazing teachers. They always had high expectations and encouraged me to put forth my best effort. It (my teaching style) really all circles back to my motivation for wanting to become the type of teacher that I admired while I was in school.”

Congratulations to Caroline Wooley for being named the 2022-23 McCulloch Intermediate School Teacher of the Year.
