This year, the Foundation has committed a historic gift of $1.7 million for HPISD teacher and staff salaries. This gift will account for one percent of the overall five percent increase for teachers and staff in the 2022-2023 school year. The Education Foundation is confident in making the commitment because of the unwavering support of the HP community. The Foundation is grateful for your consideration and wants contributors to know that their gift directly benefits all teachers and staff districtwide.
Your generosity enables teachers like Lynn Simoneaux to keep the HP tradition of exemplary education alive and well for current and future students. Teachers like Mrs. Simoneaux provide opportunities and foster environments where our students can grow, learn, and make a positive impact in their lives and in the lives of others.
“The art of teaching and the beauty of watching a child learn are two things that keep me coming back into the classroom. This community is a special place because everyone cares and is so involved in ensuring we do the very best by our students. It is a privilege to go to work each morning,” said MIS sixth-grade world studies teacher Lynn Simoneaux.
