Students from the Highland Park High School's Park Version vocal ensemble performed “For Good” from the musical Wicked to help HPISD honor trustees during the regular Jan. 17 school board meeting. The performance was the highlight of celebrating Trustee Appreciation Month and honoring HPISD’s seven trustees.
Trustees also received written notes from students across the district sharing their favorite things about their school and thanking them for their service. HPHS ninth-grade students in Rachel Talkington’s art class produced artwork featuring the phrase “Thank You” using linocut stamping as the medium. Trustee Appreciation Month lasts through Jan. 31 and HPISD invites the community to join the district in thanking HPISD Trustees.
