This was Ray's second top-four state medal finish. Ray's high school wrestling career record is 121-17 and includes the following accolades:
- second team state duals All Tournament Team
- second team Academic All State
Wrestling Head Coach Tim Marzuola and Assistant Coach Tyler Williamson introduced Ray to trustees and spoke about his wrestling career. Also in attendance to honor Ray were his parents, Sa Zhang and David Ray, and HPHS Assistant Principal Michael Lewis.
