The new tax rate is set at $0.8669, a decrease from last year's rate of $0.8927.
Scott Drillette, the Assistant Superintendent of Business Services at HPISD, highlighted the impact of this decision, saying, “We are excited to recommend a reduction in the 2024-25 tax rate as we know that taxable property values continue to rise in the HPISD community.” This year's reduction continues a trend, as it's the sixth consecutive year the Board has decreased the tax rate.
